The first Honorary JROTC Cadet Board for the school year was conducted recently.  This board was for Junior and Senior level cadets.  Members of the board were: Lt Alex Hill, McConnell AFB; 1stSgt Cobb, USMC I and I Detachment; SFC Zach Schuman, 89^th Army Sustainment Bde, and COL Hester. Cadets were asked generally open ended questions on Citizenship, Leadership, Current Events, Customs and Courtesies, and team drill. Cadets appearing before the board were: Trey Travis, Northwest Cameron Carruth, West Bailey Woodruff, South Kristen Beasley, Southeast Carlitos Hernandez, East, and Zulema Avila, North At this board there was a tie between Bailey Woodruff and Zulema Avila for Honorary Cadet.  All cadets did an outstanding job and are to be commended. Also Recently our first Leadership Honorary Cadet Board of the year was held.  This board was for 8^th graders. Members of the board were BOE member Sheril Logan, A/Supt Bill Faflick, Cadet Colonel Dean Keith, and COL Hester.  Cadets were asked open ended questions about Citizenship, Leadership, Current Events, Customs and Courtesies, and team drill. Appearing before the board were: Alexandor Neria, Mead Isaiah Fields, Truesdell Zachariah Fox, Hadley Kaleb Johnson, Brooks Kenny Nguyen, Curtis Jamela Hayes, Pleasant Valley Joseph Johnson, Marshall Robert Fluke, Hamilton. Cadet Jamela Hayes was selected as the Honorary Cadet. All cadets are to be commended for their outstanding performance before the board and in their school programs. On 24 Jan 12 the 2^nd JROTC Honorary Cadet Board was conducted this school year.  The board was for 2^nd year cadets.  Members of the board were 1Lt Alex Hill, McConnell AFB; 1stSgt Chris Cobb, USMC I and I Detachment; and COL Hester.  Cadets were asked questions on Leadership, Citizenship and Current events.  Every cadet did an outstanding job before the board.  Cadets appearing before the board were: Michael Cuevas, Heights Alyssa Cowles, South Zackery LeGate, Southeast Ike Anderson, East Jose Paredes, North Brandon Gallagher, Northwest Ernesto Cisneros, Northeast At this board there was a tie for 1^st place.  Winning cadets were Alyssa Cowles, and Ernesto Cisneros.  Congratulations to these cadets, and all Wichita cadets for their selection to appear before the board. On 25 Jan 12 the 2^nd Leadership Honorary Cadet Board of the school year was conducted .  This board was for seventh graders.  Board members were: Ms. Debbie McKenna, ExDir, Safety Services, Mr. Darren Muci, Division Dir, Operations, C/Col Keith Dean, Corps Commander, and COL Hester.  Cadets were asked questions on Leadership, Citizenship, Current Events, Customs and Courtesies, and team drill.  All cadets did an outstanding job before the board.  Cadets appearing were: Estevan Trujillo, Truesdell Manuel Garcia, Hamilton Joseph Pilens, Brooks Chenney Tran, Curtis Jesse Hernandez, Pleasant Valley Destanie Parker, Hadley Danson Tran, Mead Cadet selected as the Honorary Cadet was Chenney Tran.  Congratulations to Cadet Tran and to all cadets for being selected to appear before the board.
